Jo Malone Dupe review – Aldi is selling its version for £3.99, rather than £44

I don’t know if its the packaging, or the price – but as much as my head says its stupid, my heart loves the idea of Jo Malone products. I’ve never owned anything from the luxury store, because the perfume is just so expensive – but I always go in and cover myself in samples and pretend there is a possibility of me buying things, so snooty shop assistants don’t judge me – but I never will. But now there’s a Jo Malone dupe!

Then, one day – I noticed so much chat on social media, that Aldi had introduced an incredible Jo Malone dupe for £3.99 rather than a whopping £44 – I had to get my hands on on. Be warned though, it’s easier said than done because they are flying off the shelves.

Scents in-store include Pomegranate Noir, Freesia and Pear or Lime Basil and Mandarin. I’m not going to be content until I can get my hands on all three.

Of course, savvy money makers have been flogging them on eBay for £15+ because the demand is so high – but they are in stores, so its 100% worth checking your local (or maybe just give them a call in advance to check).

First off, the quality of the glass and metal lid is impeccable. It’s heavy and sits comfortably on top of the glass.

The labelling is understated – and clearly Jo Malone inspired and would sit beautifully in any chic (or nots so chic!) living room.

The best bit? The scent – it smells expensive. Now, I like to think of myself as a candle aficionado. In fact, I believe I’ve written the UK’s best Yankee Candle guide. It smells exactly like the Jo Malone version.

If you can get your hands on one – do it. It’s an Aldi Specialbuy item, so they won’t be back in stock any time soon – so fingers crossed it becomes a staple like its luxury perfume dupes.

Did you manage to get your hands on a candle? Have you checked out your local Aldi?
