Gunwharf Outlet – The best discounts including Michael Kors, Disney and Ugg

I’m obsessed with shopping and discounts (like, it’s literally my job spotting bargains) so clearly I love shopping outlets such as Bicester Village just outside Oxford and Premium Outlets in the USA – but my newest discovery is Gunwharf Quays and spoiler alert – I LOVED IT.

And seriously, the bargains I spotted were INCREDIBLE. This isn’t even me hyping them, but £320 Michael Kors boots for £36, £23 full-size Disney Samonsite suitcases, £2 Cath Kidson etc.

Gunwharf Outlet – what you need to know

So Gunwharf is pretty much attached to Portsmouth Harbour train station – NOT PORTSMOUTH – but the next stop, the harbour. It took me a couple of hours on a bank holiday weekend to get there and cost me around £20. If you have a car, there is a load of parking spaces,

The outlet itself is probably the most beautiful one I’ve ever been to. It’s American in style, as if it is a village, but it’s on the stunning Portsmouth Historic Waterfront. I wish I had got there earlier so I could have wandered around.

There were over 90 famous brands there, and got around most of them and took pictures of deals I was particularly interested in – but of course, I’m only scratching the surface here.

Michael Kors

EXCUSE ME HOW MUCH OF A BARGAIN ARE THESE BOOTS?!

What I particularly liked about Gunwharf Quays, and this store is that it wasn’t a load of unsellable tat that was on offer, it was the exact kind of items you’d actually want to buy.

Annoyingly, these boots were not in my size (they were like in every one by a six!), but I came so close to just buying some anyway because they were such a deal, but I stopped myself.

Let me know in the comments, are these trainers amazing, or should 32-year-olds not be wearing shoes like this?

The clothes were really cheap (well, I say really), but such a deal for designer clothing. A leather Michael Kors jacket for £150?! Cotton tops for £20.

Gunwharf Quays – what a good start to a the day!

There was an addition 30% off part of a section, but they seemed to be ‘full price’ anyway.

Basically, the Michael Kors in Gunwharf Quays was absolutely amazing. It would be easy to spend a lot in there on the bargains.

Samsonite – Disney Suitcases

When I think of fancy suitcases I probably can’t afford, I think of Samsonite. That said, went in to the outlet in Gunwharf Quays and omg, the bargains.

I couldn’t get over you could get a big suitcase (sure, Star Wars themed, but that’s amazing for you Disney fans) for £23.70. THAT’S SO CHEAP!

I don’t think you know how close I was to buying this suitcase. I need one, it was properly cheap – but Bronni (my friend I was there with) put me off because I’m a grown woman, and grown women don’t have Storm Trooper suitcases! haha.

I kind of regret not buying it now…

All the Disney suitcases had an extra 20% off, and were cheaper than they’d be outside the outlet and in a normal Samonsite store anyway.

Cath Kidston

Cath Kidston is one of my favourite shops, and this store in Gunwharf Quays did not disappoint. In fact, the store is quite famous for being so cheap at the outlet.

There were some massive discounts, with items starting from £2. I’ve taken pictures of some of my favourite discounts.

I LOVE the London print at Cath Kidston. Think it’s my favourite.

Radley

Radley was a pretty small shop, but they still managed to pack in a load of discounts on bags and purses.

I’m looking back at all these photos and kicking myself for not buying more. This green bag is amazing and only £65 down from £204 – but there’s so much there, and so many discounts, I got a bit overwhelmed/excited to be honest.

The Cosmetics Company

The Cosmetics Company is absolutely amazing but was packed full of people, so was a little frustrating if I’m being honest.

That said, you could get super cheap Mac, Aveda, Clarins, Bobbi Brown, Clinique products – all sorts of massive brands, that are never or rarely discounted drastically cheaper than RRP.

There’s not just make-up and skincare in the Cosmetics Company, there’s also luxury hair products too.

Joules

I’m a bit fan of Joules in general and always find its quite hard to get really good discounts in the outlet stores.

I sort of felt the same here, but did manage to find some deals in the sale section.

I think the general rule with these outlet stores, is to maximise the discounts. The items are already discounted in the outlet, then you want to find the sale section (there is usually one), and then get a discount on top if you can (some stores have an XX% off everything in the shop offer for example) – Oh, don’t forget student discount either. Not a student, don’t worry, I have you covered.

Ugg

You’ll always find an Ugg store in outlet stores and this one had loads of cheap deals. Honestly, if you have sixe 5 and under feet, or 8 and above (if you’re a woman), you’ll find LOADS of seriously cheap pairs.

If like me, you have your standard size 6 feet – finding a super cheap pair is a lot harder. I found some, but not ones to my taste.

Coach

There are also some properly high-end brands in Gunwharf Quays, my favourite being Coach. What was extra good was there was an extra 50% off everything in the store that had been discounted already.

Le Creuset

One of these days I will buy myself a proper Le Creuset pot, but whenever I go to an outlet, I just struggle to spend £100 or so on a pot, even though I know they’ll last until the day I die!
