Guys, you know how I’m always going the extra step for you (it’s a hard life)? Well thought I’d test out the super-popular Marks and Spencer Valentine’s Dine In Deal to see if you should fork out your hard earned cash. I know… what a martyr eh?
So for £20, you choose a starter, main, side, dessert and a bottle of wine or fizz – plus a box of chocolates, which is suitable for two. It’s not your standard M&S dine in deal – it’s extra special deal filled with shimmer and luxury.
There’s a huge list of delicious food to choose from, but I’m warning you, don’t wait till Valentine’s day to go (which I did last year), because you’ll be left with slim pickings. The deal is VERY popular.
What can you pick from the M&S Valentine’s Dine In Deal?
Right – you can pick one of each of the following:
Starter
- Smoked Salmon Show Starter
- Coquilles St Jacques
- Gastropub Camembert with Chutney
- Gastropub Runny Scotch Egg
Main
- Salmon Medallions with Lobster
- Gastropub Beef Wellington
- Ribeye or Sirloin Steak
- Gastropub Goat Cheese En Croute
Side
- Asparagus
- Rosemary Potatoes
- Chunky Chips
Dessert
- Rose Dessert
- Passionfruit Profiteroles
- Millionaires Dessert
- Raspberry & Prosecco Spheres
Drink
A selection of sparkling, whites, rose and red wines – alcoholic alternatives too.
AND a box of really pretty chocolates
My thoughts
I tried the Salmon dish, Beef Wellington, Asparagus, Rose Dessert and a sparkling Rose and it was so tasty, and a real bargain for £20 for the two of us (M&S says you save up to £15 with this offer).
If you’re going out to a restaurant on Valentine’s Day – good for you/ but also, you’re crazy because it’s busy and extra expensive. I never go out and far prefer to stay in, and I think the M&S Valentine’s Day dine in deal is the most popular one out there for good reason. It feels luxurious and special, and won’t break the bank.
What are you doing Valentine’s Day? Let me know in the comments (because I’m nosey!)
Don’t go for the sirloin steak so thin you can’t get rare, if you want a good sirloin go to Aldington.
M&S sirloin steak with pepper corn sauce, think the cow gave its self up tough tough. Not like M&S’s normal standard.
Bought the meal duck was disgusting cheese was just as bad opened wine tonight corked because cork was that dry never again
